JACK WHITE - ONLY AUS SHOW saturday |
saturday |
Jack White, founding member of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather, a 12-time GRAMMY Award-winner and 36-time nominee, and Third Man Records founder, released his fourth and fifth solo studio albums in 2022, FEAR OF THE DAWN was released in April and ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE followed in July. In addition to writing global anthems such as The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ and The Raconteurs’ ‘Steady, As She Goes’, all three of White’s acclaimed previously released solo albums – 2012’s RIAA gold certified solo debut, BLUNDERBUSS, 2014’s LAZARETTO, and 2018’s BOARDING HOUSE REACH – debuted at #1 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 along with a variety of other charts.
Among his myriad of international honors, White’s long run of career GRAMMY awards and nominations saw BLUNDERBUSS earning five nods over two years, including “Album of the Year,” “Best Rock Album,” “Best Rock Song” (for ‘Freedom At 21’), “Best Rock Performance,” and “Best Music Video” (the latter two honoring the single, ‘I’m Shakin’). LAZARETTO proved equally popular with GRAMMY voters, scoring a nomination as “Best Alternative Music Album,” while its title track received the 2015 GRAMMY Award for “Best Rock Performance” as well an additional nod as “Best Rock Song.”
BOARDING HOUSE REACH proved among White’s most unique works, topping a variety of charts in the US and Canada while drawing applause around the world. In 2020, White released The White Stripes Greatest Hits and unveiled jackwhiteartanddesign.com, as well as opened the doors to Third Man Records London – the third Third Man Records location and first internationally. CROWDED HOUSE
CROWDED HOUSE sunday |
sunday |
Formed from the ashes of Split Enz by Neil Finn, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour, Crowded House’s first incarnation released four studio albums that saw them become beloved globally for their freewheeling live show. Their 1986 self-titled debut made a lasting impression on the world, with global hits ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ and ’Something So Strong’.
Those songs, and the many that followed, still resonate with audiences today. This lineup said Farewell to the World on the steps of the Sydney Opera House in 1996 with a now legendary performance in front of 150,000 people. In 2005, following the tragic death of Paul Hester, Nick and Neil felt compelled to bring Crowded House back.
They released the album Time On Earth to critical acclaim and toured the world. Intriguer was recorded in 2009, and 2016 saw the band inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame, at the same time reprising its Farewell shows at the Sydney Opera House. Crowded House remerged in 2020, featuring original band members Neil and Nick, long-time friend and collaborator Mitchell Froom and Finn’s sons Liam and Elroy. They released Dreamers Are Waiting in 2021, winning Best Contemporary Album at the ARIA Awards before heading on a world tour.
The recurring musical dream known as Crowded House is far from over, revived and rebuilt on a sturdy foundation of newfound creative energy, familial harmony and a heartfelt exuberance for all the musical possibilities that lay ahead. Be a part of it at HARVEST ROCK.
The Black Crowes saturday |
saturday |
In 1990, as cheesy pop and hair metal dominated the charts and journalists were lamenting the death of rock, Atlanta’s Black Crowes gave the genre a swift and much needed kick in the ass with Shake Your Money Maker. Fuelled by singles ‘Jealous Again’, ‘Twice As Hard’, ‘She Talks To Angels’ and the break-through cover of Otis Redding’s ‘Hard To Handle’, the band immediately took the rock world by storm, topping Rolling Stone’s “Best New American Band Readers Poll” in late 1990.
The Black Crowes went on to release eight studio albums and four live albums, selling in the tens of millions. Along the way, they sold out shows around the world, had legendary guitarist Jimmy Page join the band, got kicked off a tour with ZZ Top for insulting the sponsor, got screwed by bad record deals, got married and divorced and fought amongst themselves and against the rest of the world. In other words, they’ve done everything a legendary rock band should have.
Khruangbin sunday |
sunday |
The Texan trio – bassist Laura Lee, guitar wizard Mark Speer and drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson – formed in Houston in 2009. Boosted by their acclaimed debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You, Khruangbin has been on countless global tours, shared stages with the likes of Father John Misty and Massive Attack, and played to sold-out crowds at nearly every major festival in the world.
Scoring critical raves for their sophomore album, 2018’s Con Todo el Mundo, and 2020’s Mordechai, which featured tracks such as ‘Dern Kala’, ‘Maria También’ and ‘People Everywhere (Still Alive)’ that have become live anthems for their many fans - Khruangbin is a live force to be reckoned with. 2021’s Mordechai Remixes, their first remix album, featured re-imaginings by Kadhja Bonet, Soul Clap, Quantic, Harvey Sutherland, and more.
Groove Armada saturday |
saturday |
Since 1997, Groove Armada have proven to be one of the most influential forces in dance music, bravely exploring a multitude of sounds while achieving critical and commercial success. From the dancehall dub of ‘Superstylin’ and the crossover pop of ‘Song 4 Mutya (Out of Control)’ to the woozy sunset vibes of ‘At The River’ and the dancefloor-igniting ‘I See You Baby’, Groove Armada have consistently and uncompromisingly followed their own vision.
Since meeting at University, the duo, Tom Findlay and Andy Cato, have released eight studio albums, thirteen compilation albums and twenty-four singles, as well as collaborated with or remixed countless high-profile artists, notably Madonna, Paul Simon, Fatboy Slim, Calvin Harris, Neneh Cherry and Bryan Ferry.
It’s no surprise that they’ve achieved three UK Top 10 albums, three Grammy nominations, a BRIT nomination and a succession of hit singles that are still being discovered by new fans to this day. Despite having formed a quarter-of-a-century before streaming exploded, they still command the attention of almost two million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Sam Fender sunday |
sunday |
Very little has stood in the way of Sam Fender and his rapid ascent in recent years. His 2017 debut single ‘Play God’ is a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock, which quickly led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock.
Sam writes honestly and candidly about subjects of social and generational significance, broadly drawn from his experiences growing up in the North East of England. His 2021 critically acclaimed single ‘Seventeen Going Under’ hit hard, with soaring arrangements and bold statements that continue to prove Fender’s power as a mighty millennial voice for the working class.
Sam Fender has spent the last few years touring the world and cultivating a loyal, passionate fan base of hundreds of thousands of listeners globally with his latest singles ‘Get You Down’, ‘Spit Of You’ and ‘The Dying Light’ for which he deservedly was awarded “Best Album In The World” at the 2022 NME awards.
The Lumineers saturday |
saturday |
The Lumineers released their eponymous debut album in 2012, scoring them two GRAMMY nominations and spawning chart-topping platinum singles, ‘Ho Hey’ and ‘Stubborn Love’. After years of touring the world in support of their debut album, the band released Cleopatra in 2016.
The platinum album debuted #1 on both Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart and the UK Albums Chart and featured the gold title track as well as the platinum single, ‘Ophelia’. Their third album III was released in 2019, taking a batch of intensely personal, emotionally naked songs into the top tier of the Pop charts.
In contrast to the anguished, narrative-driven III, the songs from The Lumineers’ latest offering, BRIGHTSIDE, are buoyed by an underlying optimism. Here, although several of the songs are about a relationship being tested or coming apart, their soft/LOUD dynamic sets up widescreen, electrifying climaxes that feel life-embracing. This is unquestionably The Lumineers' most rocking album – and we can’t wait to see it live at HARVEST ROCK!
Tones & I saturday |
saturday |
Cap pulled over her eyes and keyboard at her fingertips, Australian singer-songwriter and multi- instrumentalist Tones And I quickly rose from busking on the streets to international pop superstardom with a record-breaking generational smash, critical acclaim, television performances and worldwide sold-out shows. Tones And I continues to pave the way for emerging artists from Australia and around the world.
The Avalanches sunday |
sunday |
There are few living musicians as influential and wholly original as world renowned recording artists, producers and DJs, The Avalanches. Their debut album 'Since I Left You', released in 2000, laid the blueprint for the future of sample-based music in the 21st century.
Similarly, their follow up album, 2016’s ‘Wildflower', sits on a patchwork of samples earning the band further critical acclaim across the globe. In 2020, their third full length album 'We Will Always Love You' went on to garner further worldwide critical acclaim, but it’s not only through their studio albums that The Avalanches have made a mark on the musical landscape, they’ve released cult famous mixtapes that have become heavily coveted collectibles.
As DJs, they’ve performed at their own infamous monthly club night ‘Brains', to the main stage at some of the biggest festivals in the world including Splendour In The Grass, Fuji Rock, Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, Coachella and Creamfields. Big believers in the life changing power of music, wherever they’re playing and whatever they’re spinning, The Avalanches’ sets will always be joyous, raucous and celebratory affairs.
Courtney Barnett saturday |
saturday |
In the hands of Courtney Barnett, fragments of everyday life become rich and riveting. A deft lyricist and virtuosic guitarist, she is an emblem of millennial wit and one of Australia’s most successful musical exports. Based for much of her adult life in Melbourne, Barnett first found critical acclaim with 2013’s The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, and broke into the mainstream in 2015 with her debut album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.
Garnering a coveted Best New Artist Grammy nomination and numerous other accolades, the album stands as a generational classic. Barnett followed her debut with 2017’s Lotta Sea Lice, an acclaimed collaborative record with Kurt Vile, and eschewed the vignettes of her early records on 2018’s Tell Me How You Really Feel, her humid, political sophomore record, which featured the Margaret Atwood-invoking single “Nameless, Faceless”. In 2021, she released Things Take Time, Take Time, a remarkable artistic step forward.
Barnett returns doing what she does best: translating the chaos of the world into sparkling, indelible poetry. Barnett is also a powerhouse live act, playing slots at festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Governor’s Ball, Primavera and Lollapalooza.
Kurt Vile & The Violators - Only Aus Show saturday |
saturday |
While Kurt Vile is clearly inspired by a record store’s worth of legendary artists and 21st-century contemporaries, his latest album, (watch my moves), proves that his musical vision is singular. Vile pulls his talents as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer in unexpected directions, and the result is a vibrant, yet meditative album propelled by Vile’s laid-back charm and curious spirit.
(watch my moves) comes from a period when Vile, whose touring and recording schedule during the 2010s was seemingly constant, stayed in one place. His mind was always swirling, though, puzzling out pointillistic lyrics, dreaming up spit-shined choruses and checking in on other dimensions.
“My favorite pastime these days is sitting drinking coffee in the morning post-breakfast by the window, reading and listening to Sun Ra, sun shining through the forest trees,” says Vile. “In that moment, it’s all the traveling I’ll ever need. This record encapsulates all that—letting two years roll by and staying in my zone, traveling all the while in my brain, at the piano or in my guitar.” Catch Vile playing songs from (watch my moves) and more in Adelaide this November.
Angus & Julia Stone sunday |
sunday |
Sydney born siblings Angus & Julia Stone music spans intimate folk and dreamy indie pop. The duo’s debut album A Book Like This was released in 2007 and charted in the Top Ten in Australia. Two years later, they returned with Down the Way which became a breakthrough success, debuting at #1 in Australia and earning the singing/song writing duo 5 ARIA Awards. Angus & Julia Stone released their third studio album in 2014, followed by their fourth LP, 2017’s acclaimed Snow.
Since then, the pair have embarked on searching, successful, and creatively fulfilling solo journeys: Angus with his beloved, kaleidoscopic Dope Lemon project, and Julia with Sixty Summers, her moonlit journey to pop’s avant-garde fringes. That’s until they were presented with an impossible-to-ignore opportunity, to reconsider themselves as artists in a new way — as composers, scoring for an award-winning video game.
And so, came Life Is Strange, Angus & Julia Stone’s unexpected, unguarded, unforgettable fifth album, a soundtrack record that might also just be one of the pair’s most immediate, most beautifully-rendered sets yet. Released in August 2021, the album acts as a kind of showcase of just how enviable the band’s craftsmanship has become over the past 15 years. Witness Angus & Julia Stone’s talent at HARVEST ROCK.

Meg Mac saturday |
saturday |
“I wanted to just start again and do everything without compromise,” says Meg Mac of the game-changing switch-up that led to Matter of Time, the Sydney-born singer’s third album. Having recorded a previous ‘third album’ for imminent release, Mac had some personal and professional doubts, leading to her scrapping the body of work two weeks before launch and making the move to a remote village in the NSW countryside.
There, Matter of Time came into being across 2020 and 2021 and is a document of an artistic rebirth, fleshed out by her most fully-realised sonic and visual palette yet. Enlisting production duo The Donuts (Kendrick Lamar) to capture Meg’s stunning and versatile vocals and push them to the fore in a range of ways, you can hear their synergy across the record, from the woozy, unlikely jam of ‘On Your Mind’, the breeziness of ‘Only Love’, and the intimacy of ‘Something In The Water’ and ‘Lifesaver’. All these pieces fit together to answer a puzzle that Meg has been trying to solve for years - to make a record that flourishes without compromise.
Marlon Williams saturday |
saturday |
Award winning singer/songwriter, Marlon Williams released his self-titled debut album in 2015. Make Way For Love followed in 2018, a stunning portrait of a breakup. Since then, Williams has toured the world, playing major festivals and collaborating with Lorde, Yo-Yo Ma and Florence Welch. He also forged a fledgling acting career with roles in films The True History of the Kelly Gang and Netflix series Sweet Tooth, as well as a cameo in Oscar winning film A Star Is Born.
My Boy, William’s third solo record, parlays this flush of worldly experience into a vivid record as spirited and kinetic as the unfolding life of its performer. As the pandemic paused global travel, Williams found himself at home in New Zealand, reconnecting with family and friends. Soon new demos and lyrical themes emerged: of self-identity and escapism; tribalism and a gnarled family tree; and ruminations on the role of masculinity and mateship.
Co-produced with Tom Healy and recorded at Roundhead Studios in New Zealand, My Boy finds Williams’ leading a new band through a set of genre-hopping tunes. The sonic and emotional whiplash caused is intentional, and ultimately My Boy sees Williams having fun, even while interrogating the behaviours of himself and those around him.

The record moves fluidly through a collection of feverish moods and atmospheres, unfolding unpredictably and building to a series of fierce and manic highs, culminating in a live show which is utterly jaw-dropping and not to be missed.
Alex Cameron sunday |
sunday |
Alex Cameron has always been a great storyteller, finding his ways into the depths of the places where not many others are looking. Blurring the lines between synth-heavy indie rock and conceptual art, Cameron has used his records to craft the persona of a sleazy show biz hack.
He set the misadventures of his misanthropic character to wry electro-pop on his heady 2013 debut, Jumping the Shark, and developed the character as his sound evolved. His latest release, 2022’s Oxy Music explores topics of addiction and social critique while mixing his '80's radio pop-informed sound with the occasional guest rapper or intentionally garish sax solo.
While Oxy Music could be dark, it’s instead brighter and more buoyant than much of Cameron’s previous work, a shift in mood from 2019’s Miami Memory, told through the lens of Cameron, in the way that only he can tell it.
